For transportation of huge limestone slabs, inhabitants of Ancient Egypt used stone rollers. With the help of such a roller, one person was able to transport big objects – for example, a slab, which weighed more than one ton – to the place of destination. Special devices called dragharrows were used to transport slabs which weighed 10 – 15 tons. Roads built on stony soils were watered to ensure better sliding. For the same purpose, stones were taken out and logs were submerged in the furrows. Sometimes stone rollers were put under the dragharrows
