OJSC “Orders of Lenin and October Revolution Yaroslavl Tyre Plant” founded in 1932 is the biggest tyre plant of the central region of Russia.
Today OJSC “Yaroslavl Tire Plant” is part of the Holding “SIBUR – Russian Tyres”, the biggest tyre manufacturer of the Central and Eastern Europe. The Yaroslavl Tyre Plant occupies one of the leading positions in terms of output of the manufactured products. As part of the Holding, OJSC “Yaroslavl Tire Plant” is specialized in the production of passenger car tyres with a steel breaker, All Steel truck tyres and aircraft tyres.
Since 2005, products of the Yaroslavl Tyre Plant have been available in the market under the brand names of “Cordiant” for passenger car tyres and “TyRex” for All Steel truck tyres. The Russian automobile plants UAZ, VAZ, GAZ and KAMAZ have been regular partners of the Yaroslavl Tyre Plant for many years.
Aircraft tyre production is a separate line at the Yaroslavl Tyre Plant. In Russia OJSC “Yaroslavl Tire Plant” is the acknowledged leader of manufacturing tyres for aviation and space industry. In overall production of aircraft tyres in the Russian Federation share of OJSC “Yaroslavl Tyre Plant” amounts to 60%. “Rosoboronexport”, OJSC “Aircraft Company “Sukhoy”, OJSC “Aviation complex named after S.V. Ilushin”, OJSC “Kazan Helicopter Plant”, Aircraft Company “Volga – Dnepr”, OJSC “Aircraft Company S7”, OJSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” and others are regular partners of OJSC “Yaroslavl Tyre Plant”.
In December 2006 the production of aircraft tyres of OJSC “Yaroslavl Tyre Plant” was recertified by the Aviation Register of the International Aviation Committee. The quality system of OJSC “Yaroslavl Tyre Plant” is certified in accordance with requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2001, MS ISO 9001:2000, GOST RV 15.002 – 2003. The Yaroslavl Tyre Plant is licensed by Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation for development, designer and guarantee supervision, manufacturing and testing of tyres and inner tubes for armaments and military equipment. In October 2007 the Yaroslavl Tyre Plant was the first plant to be certified by the standard ISO 16949:2002 for the automobile industry.
The OJSC “Yaroslavl Tyre Plant” is constantly improving its scientific, technical and production basis. Plan for the production development includes increasing the production volume of All Steel tyres to one million by 2010.
Highly qualified personnel are employed at OJSC “Yaroslavl Tyre Plant”. At present the number of employees is 5,000 people. Major investment projects are being implemented jointly with Holding “SIBUR – Russian Tyres”; modernization of production is being carried out.
